Does this sound familiar?

“I don’t get paid anything. I have to see 40 people a week to just get by.”

“My supervisors don’t know about trauma or how to integrate the body into treatment.”

“In my agency, I don’t receive anything other than administrative supervision.”

“I’m longing for community and support as I go on this journey of becoming a therapist.”

If you wish you had a different way of beginning or growing your career as a therapist, you have options.

If you’re interested in:

  • earning your hours towards licensing or certification while learning how to build your own private practice

  • working in a private psychotherapy practice model right out of school

  • having more control of how much you make, your schedule, and the kinds of clients you see

  • having supervisors and colleagues who share your interest in psychodynamic, somatic, and trauma informed therapies

Contact us describing your interest and include a resumé. Joining us at Pneumaworks could be just the right fit.

We know what it’s like to be a recent graduate seeking to move into private practice and looking for support to find the clients you want to work with, charge the fees commensurate with your value, and take ownership of your professional life.

Through our supervision training, and advice we will help you navigate establishing a client base and business model that will sustain you for years to come.

In supervision, which will count towards your clinical hours should you need this, we’ll show you how to:

  • connect with potential clients

  • charge fees at a rate that ensure you make sufficient money to live.

  • integrate different approaches

  • manage a client schedule and record keeping

and, most importantly

  • work through clinical issues in ways that help you retain clients.

You’ll be expected to promote and advertise your services online and with colleagues so that you can attract the clients that reflect your interest and professional goals.

You’ll receive a yearly stipend for trainings so that you can improve your clinical skills. You’ll engage in weekly clinical supervision so that you have the support you need to work through any clinical issues that come up with your clients.

You’ll keep an online calendar through Simple Practice so that scheduling, billing, and record keeping are clearly organized and stress free.

If you’re interested in a supportive, respectful, and fun group practice and interested in working through a trauma lens, please fill out this online form to tell us a little bit about yourself.

WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU
